Within walking distance

Fort Sokolnickiego

A historic fort just west of the Citadel, now a cultural centre with concerts and exhibitions. A short walk away.

Plac Wilsona

The heart of Zoliborz: an M1 metro station, cafés and restaurants. A good spot for a break before or after your visit.

Zeromski Park

A green, intimate park in Zoliborz — a pleasant walk towards Plac Wilsona.

Vistula boulevards

The Citadel sits beside the Vistula; the riverside paths and views of the Praga bank are within a short walk.

Old Zoliborz

An atmospheric modernist district from the 1920s and 1930s — quiet streets and distinctive cooperative architecture.

Dworzec Gdanski

A transport hub (metro, rail, trams) and the “Dworzec Gdanski” memorial to the March 1968 emigration.

How to combine it in one day

It is easiest to start at the Citadel (entering from the Zoliborz Gate, closest to the metro), then head towards Plac Wilsona for a meal and a walk around Old Zoliborz. If the weather is good and you have time, continue down to the Vistula boulevards. The whole loop makes a relaxed half-day; with two museums, a full day.
