Public transport

The nearest metro station is Dworzec Gdanski (M1) - about a 10-15 minute walk to the Zoliborz Gate. Buses 116, 157, 178 and 503 stop at “Cytadela”, and trams reach the Zoliborz area around Dworzec Gdanski and Plac Wilsona.

For the current timetable, use the Warsaw Public Transport (WTP) journey planner and set your destination to a specific museum, as entrances differ depending on the route.

Entrances and parking

The main entrances are the Zoliborz Gate (ul. Dyminska 13, closest to the metro and step-free) and the Execution Gate on the historic side. There is an underground car park (around 600 spaces) with the entry from Wybrzeze Gdynskie; spaces fill quickly at weekends and during major exhibitions.

Tickets and opening hours

Access to the park is free, and the Katyn Museum is free of charge. The other museums are ticketed (standard 20–40 zł) and have their own free-admission days: the Polish History Museum on Fridays, the Polish Army Museum and the Tenth Pavilion on Thursdays. Most museums are closed on Mondays.
